“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.” – George Eliot
Delicious autumn has finally arrived.
There’s such beauty in nature slowly dying and drifting away and I can’t figure out why. This should be such a sad season, watching the leaves blow away, leaving branches to bear to cold of winter all alone. But instead it’s almost a sweet relief.
Goodbye sweet summer with your mushy heat and brutality.
Hello crispy, delicious autumn, why don’t you sit and stay a while? We’ve been waiting for you.
